Arts Refoundry Sculpture Tour and Workshop

Description:

The Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers is proud to host a half-day tour and workshop at Arts Refoundry in Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Arts Refoundry is a full service sculpture foundry specializing in all stages of the casting process from mold to patina. Please join us for this in depth and hands-on visit at this unique art foundry, where fine art sculptures are cast in bronze, aluminum and iron. Owner Gordon Bowen will guide the attendees through the sculpture process from start to finish and will provide a full tour of the foundry. Following the tour, Bowen will lead a workshop where guests will be able to create their own sculpture, carving into wax, which will be cast in bronze after the workshop and available for each guest 6-8 weeks later. The tour and workshop will be an informative and exciting event for guests to get a direct first hand look into the sculptural process.
